34 weeks

8.5 months . . . just 3 weeks to a full-term baby, and 6 weeks to the due date!

How big is baby: 4.75 pounds, about 18 inches long
Weight gain/loss: +26 total
Pregnancy symptoms: The numbness in my hands is getting pretty bad - it hurts to write, and it keeps me up at night.
Maternity clothes: yep
Stretch Marks: Same.
Sleep: I'e been getting up several times the past few nights to go to the bathroom, and various body parts go numb all night, so I am waking up a lot. Sleep has not been great.
Best moment this week: Finishing the quarter, and Thanksgiving dinner!
Movement: Fewer big kicks, and more rolling and turning movements. Also, I haven't felt anything that feels like a head lately, so maybe that means she is head-down. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Food cravings: Nothing much
Food aversions: Nothing new
Labor signs: The practice contractions are getting stronger, but that's not really labor yet.
Belly button in or out: Same.
What I miss: My non-pregnant body. I feel like it's had enough, and I can't wait to get back into shape and be able to be as physically active as I was nine months ago!
What I am looking forward to: The baby's arrival.
On the to-do list: Get a few last things we need for the baby, and install the carseat. The nursery is pretty much done - there are a couple more prints for the wall arriving this week, and then I'll do a big nursery post with pictures!
Milestones: Your baby's fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
