The weather in Denver has been pretty perfect this week, so we took our first family trip to the Denver Zoo!
Kyle's mom got us a membership for the year, and we were excited to start putting it to use. It was great to get out and walk around, even if Lea is too little to really know what's going on. She DID have a great time playing with her soccer ball in her stroller, though:
But this was the highlight of the trip:
This monkey was sitting right against the glass, so we squeezed in and propped Lea up to see if she'd notice him.
And she did! No real reaction to what she was looking at, but there was eye contact. They shared a cross-species moment.
And after all that excitement, she passed out for the rest of the afternoon.
I'm so glad we have a membership here - it's a great place we can go for even just an hour and get outside and walk around. I can't wait until she starts noticing the animals!
Concentrating on that soccer while sticking tongue out...pretty scary...
ReplyDeleteLove you all! Mom
Love that you took her to the zoo! I was just telling Eric we should get a membership this year! Maybe we can take strolls with our babies together this summer:)
