Twelve weeks! This is a GIANT post because I'm too busy to do a few separate ones, so enjoy the babyphotoexplosion!
Lots of development going on in this house: Lea now spends a lot of time staring at her hands, and she can bring her hands together. She also likes staring at her feet when she gets a glimpse of them.
We've been practicing lots of tummy time, and she gets more and more comfortable with it.
She's getting better at holding her head up, and she's starting to use her arms a little more in the process.
Coordination is so hard!
Lea also has been working on her reading skills.
She takes it very seriously.
She has figured out how to roll onto her side, so we stopped swaddling her at night. It's made her wake up more often, but she is pretty good about getting back to sleep. The biggest thing is this cold that is still hanging on - the poor kid is all sniffly and wakes up at least once a night coughing and miserable. Hopefully it will be gone soon.
We went to Garden of the Gods on Saturday. It was almost 80 degrees outside, so we stopped and picked up some outdoor accessories.
This is the smallest sun hat we could find. She loves it, as you can see:
And. . . baby sunglasses! Love the ridiculousness!
We tried to take a good family photo, but these are all we got:
We probably could have asked someone to take our picture, since the park was packed (including an interesting parking lot scene, including tons of hippies sunbathing on top of their cars and playing hackeysack). But we didn't.
But we got a few other good ones:
Kyle remarked yesterday that her little personality is starting to really come out.
She's very sweet and often seems serious - I can tell she is working SO hard to take in everything around her. She babbles a lot; her teachers said she could be an early talker because of how much she babbles!
But she also has a silly side and loves to watch us, smile, and play. And she loves when we sing to her - she sings along with us!
Have a great week!

I absolutely love the picture with the hat. LOL! Your haircut is very flattering, btw. Love you all! Mom

ReplyDeleteShe is just adorable! Love the sunglasses. Kenley has the same pair, and they just now look like they fit her! :)
ReplyDeleteBless you with that swaddle...I don't think I stopped swaddling Kenley until 5 months! haha...love that thing.
Cute bangs on you! I almost cut bangs to hide my baby hairs that decided to grow back from my massive post-pardum hair loss.
Looks like yall are doing well! Miss you guys!
