No usual photo this week, but I'll get some soon.
On Saturday morning, I walked into Lea's room to get her out of bed . . . and she was standing up in her crib, smiling at me. Obviously proud of herself. She has been pulling herself up on everything - the coffee table, the tv stand, laundry baskets, my leg . . . basically whatever is vertical. She is also starting to "cruise," meaning, she takes little steps when she's standing up and holding on to something. This baby is going to be walking in no time!
Otherwise, a new fun facet of her personality is starting to emerge - she has periods of the day when she gets really silly and crazy. She even has a move that Kyle calls the "Save me, Jesus" - she throws her head back and her arms in the air, and shakes her head back and forth. I'll try to get some video of it. She also waves at everyone and everything (a lot of time is spent waving at the cat), and tries to clap.
Lea goes for her 9 month appointment next week, but I think she weighs somewhere between 15 and 16 pounds now. She is eating lumpy foods, though she still likes pureed mush the best. But her new favorite dinner appetizer is sticks of colby jack cheese - she actually eats them! She has been loving peaches in her mesh feeder, and she can almost feed herself with a spoon. We've also been working on drinking from a sippy cup. Dinner is extremely messy these days - she goes right into the bath after she eats. Speaking of the bath, we finally retired the baby tub - she is so squirmy that she crawls right out of it!

She is so cute, a little mini-you !! That was me that commented about your Madison chairs. Lynda
